DESCRIPTION:By popular request\, we’ll be trying out another style of group ride on a smaller scale. \nOur typical group rides are destination rides that end at a nice place to eat lunch. They often go 100+ miles\, may do stretches on large highways\, and it’s up to you to find your own way back home. \nThis ride by contrast will be shorter\, more local\, and more welcoming to riders with smaller bikes that may not be fun to run down the highway at 70 MPH. If you’re new to riding in groups\, this would also be a good ride to attend where you can learn some of the dos and don’ts of group riding. \nThe ride will both start and end at Motorcycles of Dulles. This ride is intended for beginners and riders of smaller bikes – not minibikes. Your bike should still be able to do highway speeds\, even if we don’t intend to spend a lot of time going that fast. Think 300cc+\, and able to hit 60 MPH for a while. \nAs with other rides\, we’ll begin to meet up at 9AM\, with kickstands up at 9:30!

The class is primarily focused on big ADV bikes like the R1250GS\, but we’ve had riders train on everything from small ADVs like the KTM 390 all the way up to big Scrambler style bikes like the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE. \nIf it has 2 wheels and will go off-road\, you’re welcome to ride! \n  \nCan I sign up for both days?\nBoth days will cover the same material. We encourage riders to only sign up for one of the two days\, to save a seat in the class so that more riders can come and learn. \n  \nWhat kind of tires do I need for the clinic?\nKnobbies are welcome\, but certainly NOT required. If your tires are described by their manufacturer as dual-sport\, adventure\, 80/20\, or some similar verbiage\, you’ll be fine. We’re looking for good traction in dirt and grass\, not trying to set a hill-climb world record. \n  \nWhat skill level do I need to attend the beginner clinic?\nOur clinics are designed to teach people who already know the basics of motorcycle riding. Off-road experience is NOT required (that’s why you’re attending!) but you should be generally comfortable riding and operating your motorcycle. If you’re brand new to motorcycling\, give us a call about how to get started and you can play in the mud with us next year! \n  \nWhat kind of gear is required?\nWe plan this event late in the season so you can comfortably wear all your armor. You must at least have a DOT approved helmet\, gloves\, a shirt\, long pants\, and closed-toed shoes. Having a full set of gear is strongly encouraged. \n  \nWhere is the clinic?\nIt’s about 5 miles south of Purcellville\, VA. The event is being held on private property\, and we don’t want to send our host’s address to thousands of people. Everyone who registers for the clinic will receive an email with the exact address and other important information at least 1 week before the event! \n  \nWill an intermediate or advanced clinic be offered?\nNot currently. We plan to open intermediate and advanced clinics again when we are able to select a new property more suited to intermediate and advanced skills! \n  \nIs there a rain date?\nNo. Our instructors are touring the country teaching these classes and we can’t guarantee a rain date. If conditions are unsafe\, we’ll cancel the clinic and offer credit toward our next Adventure Clinic. Note: These are adventure bikes! We won’t be canceling for a light sprinkle or a gentle breeze. \n  \nCan MOD loan or rent me a bike to ride?\nFor many reasons both legal and logistical\, we can’t supply a bike for you to ride at the clinic.
